So, many of you know that we cloth diaper and love it. When Ayden got to be 12mo and we going through the Gerber diaper covers like water (they just don't make them like they used to!) I decided I had had enough. We were wasting so much money that I decided that I would splurge on a more expensive cover. We went to a local store that sells cloth diapers (Hopscotch over on Cherry St for those that are interested) and checked out their selection of diaper covers. We decided to try a Bummis Super Whisper Wrap and a Bummis Super Brite. The Whisper Wrap because the cute prints (gotta love the froggies!) and the Super Brite for the leg gussets. We LOVED both covers! We quickly ordered more for Ayden and then stocked up on covers for our baby on the way. We now own two of each kind of cover in the Newborn, Small and Medium sizes. The covers are so easy to care for and wash and dry quickly. My fellow "cloth-ers" know how important that is! Well, a few weeks ago I saw a link to the Bummis Facebook page and quickly became a fan. I wanted to share my love of the covers with other moms and dads that felt the same way. Plus, the fluffy butt pics are always too cute! Today, I followed a link on the Bummis page to a review of the Bummis Organic Cotton Starter Box on dirtydiaperlaundry.com. What a deal the package is!!! As a bonus right now, they are doing a giveaway to one lucky family. Just in time too, as we were looking at having to order more covers since ours seem to always be in the wash! Crossing our fingers, but I know that if we aren't that one lucky family, the covers are not only affordable, but worth every penny!

CottonBabies (http://www.cottonbabies.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Bummis) sells a lot of Bummis products as well. I dont use the Bummis diapers (we went with the BumGenius AIO) but I do use the Bummis BioSoft liners and the diaper pail bags and both are great products!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that site, I looked a lot at it when we were first trying to decide the what and where of ordering our initial diapers. Right now, I usually end up going through Abby's lane to get the covers since that is where I have found them the cheapest, plus she doesn't charge tax or shipping. Repeat customers and referrals get perks too! :) One of the bonus entries for the giveaway was that you could blog about the covers, and the giveaway and report back, so I did. :) If we don't 'get' the box of diapers and covers, and I doubt we will since the twittering moms totally have an advantage, I will return to Abby and see about the covers, but might have to hit up cotton babies for the wet bag. :) (Right now we are using a waterproof camping bag that you aren't supposed to wash. Ew. I wash it and then have to waterproof it again on a weekly basis!)
